What specific items have been included in your quotation/contract in comparison to your quote provided by us at Innovative Stainless Steel Designs? - If you are having glass balustrades installed, is the company using ready-made panels?
Many companies are using ‘pool fence panels’ that are purchased in bulk from overseas. These ready-made panels may not comply with Australian Standards and Regulations for balustrading. A genuine concern is that these panels have inadequate or insufficient fixing points to ensure the panels are secured in place correctly. Innovative Stainless Steel Designs individually assess each stair and balustrade project and if appropriate will use only custom made glass panels from Australian suppliers to make certain that all glass panels comply with all the relevant standards and regulations, resulting in a structurally sound product. Also, there will soon be Australian Standards and Regulations outlawing the use of these. - If you are having glass pool fencing installed, what gate system have they quoted for (hinge type, quality and glass thickness)?
Do they comply with the current regulations and Australian Standards for pool fencing? Tougher pool fencing regulations have recently come into effect. Innovative Stainless Steel Designs continually keep up to date with the latest on regulatory changes and updates. - For any external projects including pool fences: Are they using 316 Marine Grade or a higher grade Polished Stainless Steel?
Anything less and you will have ‘tea staining’ issues within a couple of months resulting in tarnishing of your product and ensuring constant cleaning and maintenance. Ask for a Milling Certificate for your stainless steel hardware.
